Inclusion policy

At Crystalaire Adventures, we believe the outdoors are for everyone.

We are dedicated to creating and maintaining a culture that is safe and welcoming for all participants and staff, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic background, or ability.

We believe in celebrating the qualities that make each of us unique and embracing our differences as opportunities for connection and conversation.

LGBTQ+ Inclusion

Our policies and procedures are designed to support all participants, including transgender, gender non-conforming, and non-binary participants and staff in feeling safe and welcome in our programs.

  • We aim to create an environment that encourages and supports all participants and staff to use pronouns that feel most comfortable while on trail.

  • As an organization, our staff will use gender inclusive language (e.g. we use "everyone," or "folks," in place of "guys" or "boys and girls").

  • Tents are not gendered; participants choose their tent mates and may select the tent group in which they  feel most comfortable--no questions asked.

Crystalaire Adventures is for participants and staff of any race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability (assuming the disability permits safe participation in the camp’s program), national or ethnic origin.

Crystalaire Adventures does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, sexual orientation, disability, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its camp-administered programs, educational policies, admission policies, or scholarship programs; nor does it discriminate against transgender and gender nonconforming campers and staff.
