Paddle down the Big Manistee River through Michigan's beautiful Manistee National Forest. The Manistee River is a deep, clear and in some spots swift river winding it's way through miles of lush North Woods forests. The river is the perfect spot for swimming, fishing and wildlife viewing. The area holds black bear, white tailed deer, bald eagles and river otters. We'll paddle through dense woodlands, quiet marsh lands, and be camping on island and the river bank the entire trip. Swimming ability is required and some experience in a canoe or kayak preferred.
